Ms. Leviner's 7th Grade Science Class

This investigation was really cool because we were able to build on an observation that the kids made last year in Mrs. Grier’s class. Last year, she did a demo using baking soda and vinegar to demonstrate that air has mass.  We built on that knowledge, explaining that baking soda is a base and vinegar is an acid.  When an acid and base combine a chemical reaction occurs.  We then tested the question: Does the amount of base added to acid affect the amount of Carbon Dioxide produced?
