Current COVID-19 numbers in Florence School District Five are at an all-time low. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has also reduced the COVID-19 pandemic to an endemic status. Based on these circumstances, and new guidance from the CDC and SCDHEC, we will no longer require quarantines or test to stay for exposure to COVID-19. Students or staff that test positive for COVID-19 will still be required to quarantine. The SC Department of Education also released updated guidance relating to mask wear on school buses which no longer requires that mask be worn.
