Policies for Conduct and Safety at Extracurricular Events
On behalf of the Administration of Johnsonville Middle School, we would like to provide you with the policies that will govern all extracurricular activities on the Johnsonville Middle School Campus for the 2025-26 school year. Please know that the safety and security of our athletes, coaches, staff, and spectators are of the utmost importance at all Florence Five events.
- Metal detectors will be used at all events.
- Students in 8th grade and below must be accompanied by an adult for proper supervision.
- Clear bags are required. See the graphic below for more information about the clear bag policy.
- Concealed weapons are not allowed.
- If you leave the gym, you must go through the metal detectors and pay again to re-enter
- Outside food and drink are not allowed.
- At athletic events, canteen sales will end after the third quarter of the evening’s final athletic contest.
- Only Florence Five and SC High School League passes will be accepted for free admission.
- Florence Five and Johnsonville Middle School are tobacco, smoke, vape, and alcohol-free campuses. Those smelling of alcohol, marijuana, or other illicit substances may be denied entry or be required to leave without a refund.
Positive sportsmanship and good behavior are encouraged and expected at Johnsonville Middle School. Although the instructional day has ended, extracurricular events are learning opportunities for our students, and adult behavior can go a long way to setting a standard, whether positive or negative, for the next generation of Johnsonville Flashes. Anyone who causes a disruption, uses foul or abusive language, or leaves the stands to enter the playing surface during an athletic event is subject to being ejected without a refund and may be banned from Florence Five properties and events in the future.
